Here is Modem Battleship (in straight PRG form).  If you need a "disk
image", you should be able to just put it into one as it is.  No
instructions, but it has some built in and it is pretty
straightforward anyway.

One thing that's notable:  If you load it "",8 it loads the whole
program, but has a BASIC line that just reloads itself as "",8,1.
Somewhat time consuming, so just load it "",8,1 first off.  It will
autorun.  I haven't tried it with a null modem cable yet--maybe this
weekend.
