When the game is started, you will be presented with a more-or-less blank colored screen; somewhere on the screen there is an shimmering entity called the QIX. The idea behing QIX is to use the joystick and fire button to draw a rectangle around the QIX, with the intent of trapping it into as small an area as possible. The problem is that if the QIX touches the line you are drawing, before you are done drawing it, you lose the man. Letting up on the draw button, for any reason, is a risky procedure, because if you do, the FUSE will ignite, travel out the line you are drawing, and blow you to Kingdom Come (or maybe even Cleveland). Have fun! Don't get blown up.
