This program arose from the problem to quickly and easily prepare
files as emails for the Internet. For this purpose many different
converting routines were gathered.

Summary of the menues of GeoConvert 97 

Menu: GEOS

-Verlassen   -Exit 
Leave program to DeskTop

Menu: Parameter

-GEOS wählen	                -Select GEOS	
Display options for Menu ‚Dateien' (Files)

-CBM wählen	                -Select CBM	
Filetype of the target file (either SEQ or PRG)

-Quell-Laufwerk x               -Source Drive x		
Select data drive

-Diskette		        -Disk			
Read next disk

-CNV: Alle Dateien		-CNV: All Files		
Convert whole disk.  Only for conversions GEOS=>CBM  or CBM=>GEOS

-UUE: LineFeed			-UUE: Line Feed		
Choose Line feed mode for UUE text files.  ‚CR+LF' recommended.

-UUE: Programme/Text		-UUE: Programs/Text	
When ‚Programme' (programs) is selected, the tagged files will be
converted to UUE format. If you like to add a comment to the UUE file,
select ‚Text' instead.

-SEQ: Max. Größe		-SEQ: Max. Size		
When splitting a sequential text file into separate smaller files,
this value reflects the maximum size  of a single file.

General information about .CNV files

The program gives new MSDOS compatible filenames away to the converted
files. These will be created in ‚8+3' format. Should the name of a
file already exist on the target drive, the name will be completed by
-a to -z. The original filename will be restored when dissolving the
file. 

This also applies to UU encoded files (see below). Please note that
the name of a file to be dissolved on PC has to fit the 8+3 convention
already when encoding it!

Converting Functions

Menu: Modus (mode)

-GEOS=>CBM			-GEOS=>CBM		
Converts a GEOS file to sequential file format. Files can then be
dissolved by older CONVERT 2.x programs.

-CBM=>GEOS			-CBM=>GEOS		
Reverses conversion (see GEOS=>CBM)

-CBM=>UUE			-CBM=>UUE		
Convert file to UUE. This will always result in a new file.

-Datei anhängen			-Add File		
Add a file to the latest created UUE file. On dissolving, the
individual files will be stored separately.

-UUE=>CBM			-UUE=>CBM		
Convert file to CBM. File type must be set in menu ‚Parameter'.

-Disk=>D64			-Disk=>D64		
Converts a 1541 disk to a d64 file. You can then UUE it and send it
via email.

-D64=>Disk			-D64=>Disk		
Creates a 1541 disk from a d64 file. The resulting disk is a 1:1 image
of the disk converted with Disk=>D64!

-D64=>Datei			-D64=>File		
Read single files from a d64 disk image. After selecting this menu,
choose a d64 file in menu ‚Dateien' (Files). After that, the d64 file
information will be retrieved. All files stored to the d64 image will
be displayed. Select by mouse click.

-SEQ aufteilen			-Split SEQ		
A sequential file will be split into multiple smaller files. The
individual files will be renamed to NAMExxxx.FNR. FNR is a number
between 1 and 999.

-SEQ verbinden			-Join SEQ		
Joins separated files to one single file.

Most of these modes will present a new pulldown menu after
selection, containing this:

All files of a directory will be shown here. Note: Only valid files
will be part of the list! (E.g. no GeoWrite texts in  CBM=>GEOS)
