    This is "VGIPH.BIN",
UUencoded.  It is a Commodore-64 utility for patching
David Jansen's "GIF Viewer", v2.1.  With the patch, the viewer will have extra
features.  You will be able to view 89a GIF's, to display and print comment
blocks, and to print 2-color hi-res GIF's.

    Load and run this program with the disk containing the GIF viewer in device
8.  Answer the filename prompt, and  wait for the noise to die down.  You
should find the patched viewer on your disk; it will have the same name,
preceded by a plus sign.  Documentation included with this program, and Public
Domain.
