The C-64 file, "RS232.BIN", describes construction of an RS-232 interface adapter for the C-64. But if a user can't download the program to his C-64 because he lacks an RS-232 adapter, the file is of no use to him. This file is suitable for any computer that has a GIF viewer capable of displaying (or printing) the text in a comment block. The image in "RS232.BIN" was put into Windows BMP format, and then converted to GIF format using "BMP2GIF.BIN", a C-64 program. The text in "RS232.BIN" was extracted, and put into a comment block using "GIFCOM.BIN", also a C-64 program. The result was checked on a PC using Bob Berry's "CompuShow". Please bear in mind that "RS232.BIN" is an old file. The prices given in the parts list are likely out of date. [Moderator's note: The "RS232.BIN" file is not included here. -Markus]
